It's not really about positivity or being 'happy' but more about bringing your focus and awareness to the moment and just being content in being you.
The 'lovely' is a gently warm and fuzzy place that lives between the town of Euphoria and back streets of Apathy.
It is the feeling that 'it is going to be ok' or 'ahh, I get that now!'
Sometimes I find it hard to get to 'lovely', but most often I find it when I am engaged in something I am truly passionate about.
Here are a few things that are sure-fire ways to get me on the road to lovelyville.
1. The sea.
This is a given, I am an Aquarius and (whilst I know that is an air sign) I think the water bearer thing is in my soul. I could just cry with happiness when we visit the seaside. It feels like my soul is home.
2. Being creative.
I think this is an Aquarius thing to. Most recently this has become graphics and sometimes photography for marketing. I can get in the creative flow and I can just feel the inspiration pouring out. Sometimes it is the start of a bigger project and sometimes it is just one piece of perfection that just comes together at the right moment.
3. Craft
I love to make things with my hands. Crocheting, crafting and anything creative (but not really artistic - which involves real skill) is my forte. I can make a fort from a cardboard box and repaint almost anything to give it a new lease of life.
4. Cooking.
(I am thinking the creating thing is the main theme here!!)
Raised in a very foody household there is something so wholesome about cooking and enjoying a meal as a family together. Flavours and smells are so nostalgic and it helps that I love to eat!
5. Plants.
My grandmother would be the happiest to know this about me. We never met but as a keen gardener and the reason we have a family tradition of naming girls flower names, I think she would be pretty chuffed to hear this.
Most recently a love of succulents, ferns and cacti, plants are so giving of themselves and immensely satisfying to love and nurture. This is a new area of my land of lovely which I am really hoping to explore.
What is your lovely?
